1- The Beginning

Here is "Bee-Attitude" just after I brought him home. His name means "Beetle with an attitude".

A front loader (we found out later that it was a cereal Bug killer) had dropped its bucket on his hood.

I had already started stripping him down before this picture!

"Bee-Attitude" was going to have a stock body, but he had his eye on this cute red 'Tub' up on the dunes. He talked me into doing a Baja job on him!

Here is what happened after these pictures were taken:

  • Stripped the interior.

  • Removed all of the glass.

  • Removed running boards, door handles, chrome and so-forth.

  • Replaced the floor-pans.

  • Removed the fenders.

  • Stripped the under-coating from under-side and inside fender-wells.

  • Removed the rear deck lid.

  • Removed the engine.
