The 914 bolted in place (finally).
This is the Porsche
engine, converted to upright cooling and fitted with a pair of
Weber 34's. I hooked everything up and ran it to get the
engineering bugs worked out. This
engine was a very sick puppy and came back out and got a complete rebuild to
it's present specs. More
on this later.
That isn't a
good place for an oil cooler! Actually I was beat at this point
and tired of trying to find a place to mount it. I just propped it
up there and went in the house. The stupid thing is almost as big
as the engine! I guess I'll have to pull the dumb thing
behind in a trailer. It sort of looks like a Beetle Swamp Boat! |
