PC Organ Project
This web site describes a digital
organ based on a PC. It is a very cheap way to put together an organ that
will sound better (in the software author's opinion!) than any analog
organ, and as good as many of the cheaper digitals. If you enjoy tinkering
with things, this is for you. It provides a completely satisfactory
practice instrument. When this idea was developed, there was very little
else around. Now there are several programs, with nicely designed
interfaces etc. The main advantage of this project is that you can do
almost anything you want, without the need for programming skills.
It sounds like a program with
possibilities, however I have not tinkered with it at all.

There are several pipe organ
soundfonts. The best one to start with is Jeux1.4 by John McCoy. This is
available at the Hammersound website. www.hammersound.net.
There is also "Pfeifenorgel", by
Andreas Sims

This sound font costs about
thirty-five dollars. There is Bruce Miles English Church Organ sound font.
There are also other soundfonts available for the theater/cinema organ.
Many of these soundfonts are available at Hammersound.
Jeux d'orgues 2.1 by Joseph Basquin
is another great Sound Font (Have fun, the site is in French)!
